In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients seeking medical attention, providing comprehensive health assessments, diagnosing illnesses, and developing personalized treatment plans. Your expertise will help promote wellness, prevent disease, and manage chronic conditions across diverse patient populations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on community health while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. Duties Conduct thorough medical history reviews and physical examinations to assess patient health status. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses across a broad spectrum of conditions, including those related to family medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, and internal medicine. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and other healthcare providers. Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or EMR/EHR platforms to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently. Order and interpret diagnostic tests including laboratory work, medical imaging, and other specialized assessments. Provide preventive care services such as immunizations, health screenings, and lifestyle counseling to promote overall wellness. Coordinate with specialists in fields like cardiology, endocrinology, dermatology, pulmonology, neurology, and others to ensure comprehensive patient management. Educate patients on managing their health conditions, medication administration, and lifestyle modifications for optimal outcomes. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical research projects, and adhere to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Support triage processes in outpatient or inpatient settings to prioritize urgent cases effectively. Qualifications Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with active licensure to practice medicine. Completion of post-residency training or fellowship programs in family medicine or internal medicine; additional specialization in areas such as pediatrics or geriatrics is a plus. Proven experience working as a Primary Care Physician with inpatient or outpatient settings; prior hospital experience is advantageous. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic or similar platforms; experience with medical coding (CPT/ICD) is preferred. Strong knowledge of healthcare diagnosis procedures across multiple specialties including cardiology, gastroenterology, dermatology, pulmonology, neurology, oncology, anesthesiology, radiology, pathology, reproductive endocrinology, immunology, and others listed above. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across disciplines. Demonstrated commitment to patient service excellence with compassionate bedside manner. Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications in advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS), pediatric advanced life support (PALS), or other relevant areas are desirable.
