Locums About the Facility This 266-bed Level II trauma facility with a Level
III NICU
provides comprehensive inpatient and clinic-based oncology and hematology services within an established clinical environment. The facility operates a dedicated infusion center supported by a clinical team that includes a clinic RN, medical assistants, front office clerks, a quality analyst/billing specialist, and infusion RNs. Established clinical protocols and appropriate resources are in place to support coordinated oncology patient management throughout the coverage period. About the Facility Location The facility is located in California, a state that offers clinicians on assignment access to a broad range of regional attractions suited to varied interests. Outdoor recreation opportunities are available year-round, spanning coastal activities, mountain terrain, and desert landscapes. Cultural, culinary, and entertainment options are distributed throughout the state, providing diverse experiences during time away from assignment. About the Clinician's Workday Clinicians will provide inpatient and clinic-based radiation oncology and hematology/oncology services on a day shift schedule at this on-site facility, with no call requirements. Responsibilities encompass all aspects of diagnosis, staging, precision medicine, symptom management, and treatment of hematology/oncology patients, including follow-up visits conducted virtually. The clinician will provide MD oversight for both the oncology/hematology clinic and infusion services, and must be present on-site for all infusion center treatments. The infusion center delivers chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood/platelet transfusions, hormone therapy, antibiotic therapy, rheumatoid arthritis injections, and therapeutic phlebotomies.
