Job Overview The Psychiatrist is responsible for psychiatric evaluation and development of comprehensive treatment plans, including pharmacotherapy, for patients with a wide range of mental health conditions. The Psychiatrist provides clinical consultation to other medical providers and staff regarding diagnostic workups and treatment interventions. In addition, the Psychiatrist manages the psychiatric care of patients in multi-disciplinary collaboration with other members of the healthcare team to help patients achieve their health goals and ensures that the patient care provided at AltaMed clinics is maintained at the highest levels of excellence and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and best practices. Minimum Requirements Must hold an active, valid, and unrestricted license from the California Medical Board to practice as a Psychiatrist in the State of California. Must be a graduate of an accredited medical school and have completed of Psychiatry Residency at an accredited program. A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines. Compensation Pay for this job starts at $274,684.80 annually Compensation Disclaimer Actual salary offers are considered by various factors, including budget, experience, skills, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. The range is subject to change.
