This role is ideal for a physician who delivers academic-level medicine in a mission-driven, multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiology care, including consultative services for complex cardiovascular conditions Interpret and perform cardiovascular diagnostics (e.g., TTE/TEE, stress testing, ECG interpretation, Holter and event monitoring) Participate in cardiac care for medically complex patients in collaboration with primary care, hospital medicine, anesthesia, surgery, and intensive care services Engage in multidisciplinary case conferences, quality improvement activities, and peer review Utilize and document in an electronic medical record with timely completion of notes, orders, and consults Participate in on-call coverage as assigned Provide clinical oversight, teaching, and mentorship to trainees (residents, fellows, students) if assigned Adhere to all VA and facility policies regarding patient safety, credentialing, documentation, and professional practice

Minimum Qualifications:

MD or DO from an accredited institution Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship Board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiovascular Disease Current, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory Eligible for VA credentialing and privileging Strong foundation in guideline-directed, evidence-based cardiovascular care

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional training or certification in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, advanced heart failure, or interventional cardiology Experience in a VA, academic, or large integrated health system Demonstrated experience in teaching, quality improvement, or clinical leadership
