We are looking for a Primary Care Physician to join our integrated care team at McKinleyville CHC, in McKinleyville, California. Why Join Open Door? Outpatient practice with excellent work-life balance Flexible scheduling No hospital call Teaching, mentorship, and leadership opportunities Practice at : McKinleyville Community Health Center - Open Door Community Health Centers The Primary Care Physician provides comprehensive, patient-centered outpatient care for a panel of patients across the lifespan in a rural Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting. Practicing to the full extent of their training and scope, the physician diagnoses, treats, and manages acute and chronic medical conditions, emphasizes preventive care, and coordinates specialty services when needed. Working as part of an interdisciplinary care team, the physician plays a critical role in improving access to high-quality healthcare for an underserved rural community, helping patients receive timely, comprehensive care close to home and reducing the need to travel outside the region for essential medical services. McKinleyville, CA Located in one of the largest communities in Humboldt County, McKinleyville offers a unique blend of rural and residential living with close proximity to coastal bluffs, the Mad River, and outdoor recreation. With strong community engagement and easy access to regional travel through the nearby airport, this site offers providers the opportunity to practice collaborative, relationship-centered care within a team-based model while serving a diverse and underserved population. Providers build meaningful, ongoing relationships with patients, supporting continuity and access to care across the community. Education and Experience Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school Completion of an accredited residency program in a primary care specialty (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or Geriatrics) Minimum of 2-5 years of clinical experience preferred, ideally in outpatient or community health settings, including experience providing preventive care and management of acute and chronic conditions across the lifespan Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations prior to hire date Current, active, and unrestricted California medical license Board Certification or Board Eligibility in a relevant specialty Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration Current CPR/BLS certification Comprehensive Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plans Provider professional expense account Sign-on bonus Relocation assistance Retention bonus Paid sabbatical program Access/Production Bonus Eligible for National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment (up to $250,000 for qualifying providers)
Compensation:
