Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Primary Care Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive primary care services, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and deliver exceptional patient-centered care across diverse clinical settings. Your expertise will help improve health outcomes, manage acute and chronic conditions, and support patients through preventive care, health coaching, and education. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments including physical examinations, vital signs, intake evaluations, and medical history reviews using EMR/EHR systems such as Nextgen. Prescribe medications and administer injections following DEA regulations, aseptic techniques, and medical treatment protocols.
Triage patient concerns:
provide telehealth consultations when appropriate. Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as eClinicalWorks or Cerner while ensuring HIPAA compliance. Support discharge planning, post-acute care coordination, and client education on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies. Assist in training staff on new protocols related to critical & intensive care procedures. Maintain proficiency in CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding standards for billing purposes; ensure accurate documentation for reimbursement. Qualifications Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) with valid state licensure; DEA registration required for prescribing medications. Demonstrated experience in primary care settings with experience preferred. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems Nextgen. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Hands-on experience with procedures including suturing, injection administration, basic life support certification required. Experience managing complex cases. Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams; excellent client communication skills essential for delivering compassionate patient care. Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding standards for billing; familiarity with hospital medicine protocols and sub-acute care practices preferred. Pay:
$140,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
