Hospitalist (Day & Night Opportunities) Astrana Health, Inc. - 1.7 Monterey Park, CA Job Details Full-time $280,000 - $550,000 a year 5 hours ago Qualifications Doctoral degree DEA License Medical License Full Job Description Description About Astrana Care Hospitalists Astrana Care Hospitalists is looking for Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine and Family Medicine trained physicians to join our hospitalist program. Our hospitals are located in the San Gabriel Valley, 10 minutes east of downtown Los Angeles, with easy access to the city, as well as other popular destinations such as Long Beach and Santa Monica. We also have hospital coverage in Orange County, with easy access to Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm. Working in close partnership with Astrana Health, Prospect Medical Holdings, and Allied Pacific IPA, our hospitalist team is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered acute care to diverse and underserved populations. We foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and clinical excellence while ensuring seamless transitions of care through coordination with primary care physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary care teams. What You'll Do Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care to hospitalized adult patients across affiliated community hospitals in Los Angeles and Orange Counties Manage an average daily census of 15 to 20 patients, including conducting admissions, daily rounds, treatment planning, discharge coordination, and ongoing medical management Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions while ensuring evidence-based, patient-centered care Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including nursing staff, case managers, pharmacists, therapists, and consulting specialists to optimize patient outcomes and ensure continuity of care Coordinate care with a robust network of specialty services, including cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, neurology, neuro-interventional radiology, and other subspecialties as needed Monitor patient progress, review laboratory and diagnostic test results, adjust treatment plans, and communicate clinical updates with patients and their families Facilitate timely and efficient transitions of care, including discharge planning, post-acute care coordination, and communication with primary care providers and outpatient specialists Qualifications Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Medical degree from accredited medical school
Current California State Medical License Current DEA Certificate Preferences:
