Renewing Hope Family Counseling Center is growing, and we are seeking a California-licensed Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary behavioral health team in a consulting/supervisory and direct patient-care role . We are looking for a psychiatrist who is passionate about increasing access to quality mental health care and enjoys working collaboratively with Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs), therapists, psychologists, and other behavioral health professionals. THE POSITION
The Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric consultation and clinical leadership to our psychiatric services program while also maintaining a regular caseload for psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up care. Depending upon qualifications, availability, and applicable California law, responsibilities may include providing appropriate consultation, collaboration, oversight, or supervision for RHFCC PMHNPs. The psychiatrist will work closely with RHFCC leadership and the clinical team to promote safe prescribing practices, continuity of care, timely consultation, and high-quality psychiatric services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities may include: Provide psychiatric evaluations and medication-management services to children, adolescents, adults, and/or older adults. Maintain a regular psychiatric patient schedule based upon agreed PT or FT availability. Provide consultation and clinical support to RHFCC PMHNPs. Participate in case consultation involving complex psychiatric presentations, medication concerns, diagnostic questions, and higher-risk patients. Support appropriate prescribing practices and medication-monitoring protocols. Assist with psychiatric clinical policies, procedures, and quality-improvement efforts. Collaborate with therapists, psychologists, PMHNPs, and other members of the treatment team. Provide patient and parent/guardian education regarding diagnoses, medications, risks, benefits, alternatives, and treatment recommendations. Maintain appropriate professional and clinical boundaries. Demonstrate high ethical, professional, and legal standards. Provide culturally responsive, strengths-based, patient-centered care. Complete documentation within RHFCC's required timelines. Maintain patient caseload and productivity expectations consistent with the position. Participate in appropriate continuity-of-care and transition planning. Maintain all required documentation, licensing, credentialing, and compliance requirements.

We provide the infrastructure of an established group practice without the isolation and administrative burden that can accompany operating a solo private practice.
SCHEDULING
We offer flexible opportunities based upon organizational and patient needs, including: Part-Time Full-Time Daytime hours Afternoon/evening availability Saturday availability Combination of in-person and eligible telehealth services Specific scheduling expectations will be discussed based upon the psychiatrist's role and RHFCC's clinical needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
MD or DO Current, unrestricted California physician and surgeon license Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry, as applicable to the position Appropriate DEA registration when prescribing controlled substances Ability to meet applicable payer credentialing requirements Strong understanding of psychiatric medication management and patient safety Commitment to collaborative, ethical, culturally responsive behavioral health care Ability to provide timely consultation and clinical support to psychiatric providers Experience working collaboratively with PMHNPs and other Advanced Practice Registered Nurses is strongly preferred.
