We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 60-day assignment in California. Our client requires coverage for daytime shifts, where the chosen candidate will manage a varied caseload typical of a rural Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), focusing primarily on adult primary care and some well-child checks. Responsibilities and Duties Manage primary care cases within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting, addressing rural health aspects. Handle multiple patient complaints per visit, often three or more. Provide coverage during a sabbatical period, with a focus on adult patients. Conduct well-child checks and school physicals as needed. Treat a wide range of conditions including cold, cough, flu, hypertension, and diabetes. Offer care for the homeless population and support LQBTQ patients. Perform annual check-ups and typical FQHC primary care procedures, including womens health procedures like IUD and Nexplanon removals. Refrain from seeing pregnant patients.
