Job Description
Pomona, CA | Full-Time The Staff Pad is partnering with a mission-driven community health organization to hire a Family Medicine Physician in Pomona, California. This is an opportunity to join a respected organization dedicated to serving patients through high-quality, preventative, and primary care services. This role is ideal for a physician who is passionate about whole-person care, chronic disease management, and building long-term patient relationships within a patient-centered medical model. Overview Provide comprehensive primary care services across the age continuum in a family medicine setting Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions Perform patient assessments including medical history, physical exams, and care planning Order and review labs, imaging, and diagnostic testing Prescribe medications, treatments, therapies, and immunizations Coordinate specialty referrals and follow-up care Support preventative care initiatives and chronic disease management Collaborate closely with care teams to improve patient outcomes Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer reviews Supervise Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and other clinical staff Support after-hours on-call coverage on a rotating basis Ensure accurate clinical documentation, billing compliance, and regulatory reporting Contribute to workflow improvements and patient engagement strategies Additional Details Full-Time, Part-Time, and Per Diem options available Productivity expectation of 8.5-10 patients per 4-hour session Rotating after-hours physician call schedule required Multiple approved clinical service locations within the Pomona area Requirements What We're Looking For MD or DO from an accredited medical school Active and unrestricted California Physician License Board Certified in Family Medicine (required) Active DEA License Current BLS Certification (AHA approved) Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) Strong clinical judgment across acute and chronic care management Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations Strong leadership and team collaboration skills Spanish/English bilingual preferred Benefits Benefits & Perks Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage available immediately for full-time providers (30+ hours/week) 95% employer-paid medical premiums for employees 45% employer-paid coverage for spouse, domestic partner, and dependents Multiple plan options PPO Dental and Vision coverage Up to 40 hours of Continuing Medical Education (CME) annually Up to $1,500 per year for CME and educational reimbursement Professional license and DEA reimbursement 401(k) with 100% employer match Malpractice protection and strong support Short-term and Long-term Disability Insurance Life Insurance coverage Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with confidential counseling services Adoption Assistance Access to employee marketplace discounts on services, insurance, and retail purchases Eligibility for federal loan repayment programs and Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) opportunities
