- North County is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Neurologist with a strong interest and comfort level in neurosurgery to join our established Neurology service in San Marcos, California.
- 300,000, based on experience and qualifications, plus production Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer contribution CE allowance and professional expense support Generous PTO Professional licensing and membership support Career coaching and professional development resources Opportunities for teaching, mentorship, and leadership development Access to the broader Ethos Veterinary Health specialty network In your day-to-day, you will: Diagnose and manage patients with complex neurologic and neuromuscular disorders Perform and participate in neurosurgical procedures appropriate to your training and interests Collaborate with the existing Neurology and Neurosurgery team Partner with Surgery, Internal Medicine, ECC, Oncology, and Diagnostic Imaging on complex cases Utilize advanced MRI, CT, CSF, electrophysiology, and other diagnostic modalities Develop individualized medical and surgical treatment plans Provide perioperative and postoperative neurologic care Build relationships with referring veterinarians and serve as a trusted neurologic resource Participate in teaching and mentorship of interns, residents, students, and veterinary team members Help contribute to the continued development of Neurology and Neurosurgery as the hospital transitions to its new facility Pursue clinical interests, research, and professional development through the broader Ethos network What You Bring DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for California licensure Board certification in Veterinary Neurology or completion of a recognized neurology residency with board eligibility Comfort and demonstrated interest in neurosurgery is required Strong clinical, surgical, and communication skills A collaborative approach to multidisciplinary medicine Commitment to exceptional patient care and referring veterinarian relationships Interest in teaching, mentorship, and continued professional development A desire to contribute to the continued growth of an established Neurology and Neurosurgery service Join Us At VSH North County, you'll join an established Neurology and Neurosurgery service within a hospital where complex cases are managed collaboratively across specialties.
