Physician - Gastroenterologist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Gastroenterologist Physician for an 84-day assignment starting Nov 23, 2026, in California. The role involves comprehensive ASC coverage Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm, with additional night and weekend call responsibilities. Key duties include performing endoscopy, colonoscopy, and ERCPs, managing GI bleeds, handling consults and transports, and covering a largely phone-based night call. Responsibilities and Duties Provide ASC coverage from 8am to 4pm, Monday through Friday. Manage night and weekend call responsibilities, primarily phone-based. Perform scopes including endoscopy and colonoscopy. Conduct ERCPs (EUS not required). Address GI bleeds. Handle patient consults, averaging 0-3 daily. Manage patient transports, approximately 3-4 weekly. Utilize Olympus scopes. Administer conscious sedation when necessary, though rarely required. Additional Information Board Certification in Gastroenterology is required. The EMR system utilized is Epic. This position primarily involves an ASC setting with associated call coverage. Call schedule includes night shifts during the week and weekend call, with call back being rare. Expected patient volume includes 0-3 consults daily and 3-4 transports weekly. Anesthesia support is generally available.
