Job Description

We are seeking a Psychiatrist to join a brand-new outpatient behavioral health program in Victorville, California. This opportunity offers the stability of an established Southern California psychiatric organization combined with the chance to help build a new outpatient clinic from the ground up. The Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, treatment planning, and ongoing follow-up care for patients experiencing a wide range of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions. The practice is expected to serve patients across the lifespan. Initial evaluations will generally be scheduled for approximately 45 to 60 minutes, with follow-up and medication-management visits typically scheduled for approximately 20 to 30 minutes. Because this is a new clinic, patient volume will start at a manageable level and gradually increase as the program grows. You will work alongside a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, therapist, case manager, and support staff within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment. The primary role is outpatient psychiatry with no required hospital rounding. Physicians interested in additional hospital-based psychiatric coverage may have opportunities to supplement their schedule and compensation. Qualifications MD or DO Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Psychiatry Active or eligible California medical license Outpatient psychiatric experience preferred Strong clinical judgment and communication skills The clinic is expected to operate Monday through Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Flexible, part-time, reduced-day, and alternative scheduling arrangements may be considered for the right physician.
