Interventional Radiology & Diagnostic Radiology A three-hospital Southern California health system is seeking multiple radiologists for high-paying locum tenens opportunities offering a combination of interventional radiology and general diagnostic radiology. Several openings are currently available, with compensation of $525-$550 per hour and no call.
Assignment Details Compensation:
$525-$550 per hour Start date: As soon as credentialed
Schedule:
Day shifts, generally 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; schedule flexibility available Scheduled coverage with no call Approximately 70 reads per day Approximately 4-8 procedures per day Reads may be performed between procedures Initial credentialing timeframe: 2-3 months Support staff available NovaRad and MModal Travel, lodging, and malpractice coverage available as applicable Clinical Responsibilities This position combines interventional radiology with body and general diagnostic radiology. Physicians should be comfortable with CT, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and a broad range of image-guided procedures. Required Procedures and Reads Abdominal and pelvic CT PICC line placement Arthrograms and joint injections Lumbar punctures Bone marrow biopsies Ultrasound-guided biopsies ESI, SI, and facet injections General and body radiology Basic neuro and MSK imaging GI studies, including upper GI, esophagram, small bowel follow-through, and barium enema Hysterosalpingograms may be required Mammography, breast biopsies, breast localization, and CT cystograms are not required. System Coverage Providers will be credentialed across all three hospitals in the system: Queen of the Valley Hospital InterCommunity Hospital Foothill Presbyterian Hospital The facilities are located near one another. Requirements Board-certified radiologist At least two years of experience Active California license BLS and
ACLS DEA
American Board of Radiology certification X-ray Supervisor and Operator certification Driver's license Malpractice history required; dismissed cases reviewed individually Willingness to complete required vaccinations, including
COVID-19
