Job Description

Join the growing team of Advanced Practice Providers with Colorado Springs Neurological Associates (CSNA). CSNAbegan in 1959 and are now the largest and most experienced Neuroscience practice in southern Colorado. We proudly deliver the highest quality medical care to our community and we are seeking Advanced Practice Providers that share our drive for excellence. CSNA has an excellent opportunity for a dynamic Advanced Practice Provider to join our highly trained team of Neurologists, Neuropsychologists, Neuro-Optometrist and APP's. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a dynamic quickly growing multi specialty group who are doing great things! Our team and clinic is an experienced group that works together closely to provide the utmost in quality care while supporting each team member's personal and professional goals. This APP position will directly support our Neurologists. Under the supervision of the Neurologist, the APP works to interview and examine patients to determine a diagnosis. They may order tests to ascertain the nature and extent of illnesses and injuries and prescribe medications and suggest lifestyle changes to remedy medical problems. Treatments provided by a Advanced Practice Provider may include direct patient care, adjusting medications, and administering injections. They also maintain patient records and provide documentation for insurance billing. There is no call coverage required. Requirements

  • Graduate Degree from an Accredited Academic Program
  • Certified Advanced Practice Provider (PA-C or NP)
  • 2 years of clinical experience
  • Member of Specialty Board (NCCPA or AANP) In addition, our ideal candidate(s) will: Be a patient advocate Work full time in clinic Demonstrate compassion and empathy Effectively communicate with a friendly and positive demeanor Be energetic and self-motivated Develop positive relationships and trust with patients, staff and other professionals Be flexible and adaptable to change Embrace our Core Values Primary Responsibilities • Review patients' medical history • Conduct physical exams to assess patients' health • Order and interpret diagnostic tests • Make diagnoses concerning a patient's injury or illness • Give treatments including administering injections • Provide patient care planning • Educate and counsel patients and their families • Prescribe medicine when needed • Research the latest treatments to ensure the quality of patient care • Conduct or participate in outreach programs; talking to groups about managing diseases and promoting wellness • Maintain accurate, legible, and confidential records Required Knowledge, Competencies and Skills • Advanced clinical training and competency • Understanding of Anatomy and Physiology • Understanding of Psychology and Behavior Change • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including in-person, phone, electronic, written, and active listening skills • Problem solving and analytical skills • Extremely organized, accurate, detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task • Work under pressure, meet deadlines, make decisions independently with minimum supervision • Proficient with Electronic Medical Records, Medical Histories & Medically Related Computer Applications • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel • Willing to learn new skills and methods • Able to assist in the operating room as indicated CSNA offers a competitive salary, along with a benefits package that provides security for you and your family, including: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision and pharmacy plans, Vacation time off, Optimal work/life balance, bonus potential, 401k with matching.
