Join a well-established, high-volume gastroenterology practice in Durango, CO. This full-time role offers immediate procedural volume with no ramp-up period, strong referral support, and a near-term, attainable path to equity in both the GI practice and a physician-owned surgical hospital. From day one you'll have autonomy to set your scope mix, clinic load, and schedule to match your clinical interests and lifestyle. Key highlights Immediate procedural volume and stable referral base—start productive on day one Ability to begin with 2 scope days per week and scale to 4 days/week Flexible schedule with no mandatory call; optional paid hospital call available Clear, near-term path to ownership in the GI practice and affiliated surgical hospital Physician-led organization emphasizing collaboration and work-life balance Requirements MD or DO from an accredited medical school Completion of an ACGME-accredited Gastroenterology fellowship Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Gastroenterology Eligible for Colorado medical licensure Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach Compensation & benefits Guaranteed Year 1 compensation: $450,000-$650,000, plus signing bonus Forgivable income guarantee to support full earnings from day one; no ramp period Uncapped productivity upside with productivity-based compensation beginning Year 2 Clear pathway to $800,000+ annual income Elective ownership opportunities in the GI practice and physician-owned surgical hospital Malpractice insurance with tail coverage, CME allowance, and professional development support This is an outstanding opportunity for a gastroenterologist who wants immediate clinical impact, long-term financial growth, and the chance to become an owner—while enjoying the outdoor lifestyle of Southwest Colorado.
