36.94/hour This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote optionSummary :
First year of three year Family Medicine residency training program.Responsibilities :
Provide patient care under the privileges of a defined supervising physician. Complete inpatient rotations on OB, pediatrics, adult medicine, night float, emergency medicine, and other rotations as directed. Initiate a work-up on assigned patients, communicate the treatment plan to the upper level resident and/or supervising physician and write daily progress notes on the chart. Assist with any procedures as assigned by supervising physician and may do procedures that are noted in the procedure list for PGY-I residents. Comply with supervising physician notification and the listing of approved procedures for residents, when performing own procedures on a patient. Must be primarily involved in a case which is in the ICU, or is markedly unstable. Follow procedures pertaining to Medical Records, Disorderly Conduct and Sexual Harassment. Communicate to the supervising physician all procedures, transfers, consults or major changes in status. In the case of the first three, this must be done proactively. PGY-I residents are not expected to be the sole resident providing care to an ICU patient or a patient with marked instability on a general medical floor. Communicate to supervising physician any deviation from standard course that might possibly result in an untoward event. Residents cannot, on their own, initiate a consultation, interventional procedure or transfer to another facility or specialty unit without the express concordance of the supervising physician. Communicate to supervising physician when care is being transferred to another resident. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.Requirements:
Graduate of MD or DO program. Must be eligible to obtain Colorado Physician License at end of first year.ACLS. BLS
through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
