Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews. Administer medications and injections in accordance with prescribed protocols, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and DEA regulations. Perform diagnostic procedures such as venipuncture, catheterization, IV infusions, and specimen collection with precision and aseptic technique. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Provide patient education on treatment options, medication management, and health coaching tailored to diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals with disabilities. Assist in specialized procedures such as botulinum toxin treatments, dermal fillers, esthetic laser treatments, spinal taps, or cardiac catheterizations when applicable. Qualifications Valid medical license or advanced practice provider certification; prior experience working in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or critical care settings is highly preferred. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Athenahealth, or Cerner; familiarity with CPT coding and ICD coding (ICD-9/10) is advantageous. Demonstrated expertise in clinical areas including trauma centers (Level I/II), ICU/PICU experience, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, or behavioral health. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology; ability to perform complex procedures like airway management or spinal taps confidently. Experience working with diverse patient populations—children, seniors in memory or assisted living care—and individuals with developmental disabilities. Excellent client communication skills; ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and ensuring the highest standards of infection control and medical documentation. University Student Health Center is currently seeking an experienced PRN basis or Part-Time Mid Level provider. Clinic is a busy walk in clinic providing care to students and staff of the University of Northern Colorado. Position will cover shifts year round during the academic school year. Main hours needing coverage are Mon-Fri 9:00-5:30. Candidate must be comfortable working as the sole provider with support staff in a fast paced acute care setting. Must be board certified and have full prescriptive authority. Please clarify what days you may be available. Part time we are looking for Mon/Tues schedule and then PRN availability could be any day of the week.
