Sleep Medicine Advanced Practitioner Role Scope The Sleep Care Advance Practice Provider works a daytime schedule in an ambulatory setting managing initial patient consultations, and on-going follow up visits to provide quality health care for Sleep Center patients. The Sleep Disorders advanced practitioner engages in independent decision-making regarding the health care of individuals, families and groups across the health care continuum, with primary focus on Sleep Medicine. As patient care demands, the APRN will collaborate with the Sleep Center's Physicians, clinical and administrative staff, the patients and their families to facilitate and improve patient care. The APRN will provide patient education to enhance their long-term health. At Hartford HealthCare Sleep Center, newly graduated and experienced practitioners are provided with the support and mentorship they need to succeed through on the job, classroom, and procedural training.

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master's program
  • Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut
  • Certification, or eligible to be certified, as National Board Certification as an Ambulatory Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
  • Sleep Medicine Experience preferred
