We are seeking a Teaching Hospitalist Physician to join our Hospital Medicine team. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who enjoys caring for complex hospitalized patients and is passionate about teaching and developing the next generation of physicians . The Opportunity As a Teaching Hospitalist, you will provide high-quality inpatient care while working closely with UConn residents and medical students as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
You will:
Provide comprehensive inpatient care to adult patients with a broad range of medical conditions. Round with and supervise residents while providing clinical teaching and mentorship. Participate in resident education, case discussions and bedside teaching. Collaborate with specialists, advanced practice providers, nurses and other members of the care team. Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. Participate in the academic and educational activities of the Department of Medicine. Help create a supportive learning environment for residents and students.
