Job Description
We are seeking a Locum Psychiatrist to provide inpatient coverage for a 22‑bed dual-diagnosis unit in Manchester, CT, treating patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders in a structured, team-based setting. Compensation $220 per hour Schedule Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM No call Practice setting Inpatient dual-diagnosis unit (22 beds) Typical census ~12 patients/day Average length of stay: 7-10 days Multidisciplinary team: nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, psychiatric technicians Clinical responsibilities Conduct psychiatric assessments and ongoing medication management Develop and implement treatment plans for co-occurring psychiatric and substance-use disorders Participate in daily rounds and interdisciplinary team meetings Coordinate care and discharge planning Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry Active Connecticut medical license or ability to obtain one Prior inpatient psychiatry and/or addiction medicine experience preferred
