Job Description

Gaylord Hospital is seeking to hire a full-time Psychiatrist to join our team in providing exceptional care to both inpatient and outpatient populations. Gaylord Specialty Healthcare is a health system dedicated exclusively to medical rehabilitation. Key Responsibilities :
Provide comprehensive psychiatric consultations and care for adolescent through geriatric patients who have experienced a range of complex medical illnesses, including traumatic brain injury, stroke, or other neurologic/medical diseases. Manage a diverse caseload of inpatients and outpatients Develop and grow the service on both the inpatient and outpatient side Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and hospital protocols
Qualifications :
MD or DO from an accredited medical school Completion of an approved residency program in Psychiatry Board-eligible or Board-certified in Psychiatry Current Connecticut medical license or ability to obtain one Experience in acute care and consultation-liaison psychiatry preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based practices
