Locums About the Facility This hospital-based pathology practice operates without trauma designation and maintains a collegial department of four pathologists, including the locum tenens clinician. The facility processes annual volumes of approximately 9,800 surgical pathology cases, 1,375 cytopathology cases, 544 FNA cases, and 294 frozen sections, supported by a dedicated support staff. Temporary privileges are available, and the department utilizes Epic EMR for clinical documentation. About the Facility Location Florida offers a range of natural and cultural attractions suited to varied interests. The state provides year-round access to outdoor pursuits including the Everglades, saltwater paddling trails, and natural springs, as well as the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, which is home to over 6,000 marine species and more than 1,000 shipwrecks. Urban areas throughout the state offer food tours, riverboat cruises, aviation museums, and the Kennedy Space Center, providing clinicians on assignment with a broad selection of activities across diverse settings and budgets. About the Clinician's Workday The anatomic and clinical pathologist will provide diagnostic pathology services Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with participation in night call and weekend call on a 1:4 call ratio. Clinical responsibilities encompass interpretation of surgical pathology, cytopathology, FNA, and frozen section specimens within a hospital-based inpatient setting. All clinical documentation is maintained through Epic EMR. Board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology is required for consideration.
