Job Description

Board Certification:
Hold sub-specialty board certification in pain medicine via an ABMS-recognized specialty board, a Certificate of Added Qualification from the AOA, or board certification by the American Board of Pain Medicine.
Fellowship or Residency:
Successfully complete an ACGME
  • or AOA-accredited fellowship or residency in pain medicine.
Approved Specialty Residency:
Complete an accredited residency program in anesthesiology, physical medicine and rehabilitation (physiatry), neurology, neurosurgery, or psychiatry (and for certain osteopathic physicians, family practice, internal medicine, or orthopedics).
Hospital Privileges:
Maintain active staff privileges at a Florida-licensed hospital to practice pain medicine or perform related procedures. Expanding Interventional Pain Medicine practice in need of highly productive physician

Responsibilities and Duties Clinical Responsibilities:
  • Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to medical conditions.
  • To provide a comprehensive medical evaluation, including diagnosis and treatment plans for patients with chronic pain
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety and/or infection control standards
  • Abides by the medical practice standards act.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
  • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standard
  • Knowledge of community medical diagnostic and patient care services in area of medical expertise
  • Knowledge of current comprehensive medical evaluation, including diagnosis and treatment plans for patients in chronic pain.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be credentialed per facility policies and procedures.
