Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Pain Management Physician to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive pain assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans to improve patient quality of life. Your expertise will help patients manage acute and chronic pain conditions through innovative interventions, medication management, and collaborative care strategies. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history review, physical examinations, and pain assessments utilizing advanced diagnostic tools such as medical imaging and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems. Develop personalized pain management treatment plans incorporating pharmacologic therapies, interventional procedures like nerve blocks or botulinum toxin treatments, and non-pharmacologic approaches such as health coaching and physical therapy. Utilize medical imaging techniques including CT scans and other diagnostic radiology tools to identify pain sources accurately. Collaborate with specialists across disciplines such as psychiatry, neurology, orthopedics, and physical medicine to optimize patient outcomes. Manage medication administration carefully adhering to CPT coding standards and HIPAA regulations, ensuring safe prescribing practices for opioids and other controlled substances. Provide patient education on pain management strategies, lifestyle modifications, and post-procedure care plans. Maintain detailed documentation of clinical encounters, treatment progress, and discharge planning in compliance with hospital policies and NCQA standards. Experience Proven experience in acute pain management within inpatient or outpatient settings, ideally at Level I or Level II trauma centers or hospitals with complex case loads. Strong familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic or other electronic health record platforms. Hands-on experience with interventional radiology procedures including nerve blocks, catheterization techniques, and neurocritical care interventions. Knowledge of medical imaging modalities like CT scans and nuclear medicine relevant to pain diagnosis. Background in managing diverse patient populations across specialties such as oncology, rheumatology, cardiology, or neurology is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive physical examinations, assess patient needs accurately, and develop effective care plans aligned with clinical research standards. Critical care experience or familiarity with airway management, ventilator support, or post-operative care enhances your capability to deliver exceptional pain relief services.
