We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician to provide locum tenens coverage in Loxahatchee, Florida. Due to higher-than-anticipated patient volumes, the emergency department is seeking additional physician coverage for ongoing PM shifts in a collaborative, well-supported clinical environment. Position Details
    Shift Length:
    Primarily 10-hour shifts
      Coverage Needed:
      PM Shifts
        Patient Population:
        Adult patients only (dedicated pediatric emergency department)
          Emergency Department Bays:
          33
            Patient Volume:
            Approximately 1.8-2.0 patients per hour
              Admission Rate:
              26-30%
                Trauma Designation:
                Non-Trauma Center Clinical Responsibilities
                • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide variety of emergent and urgent medical conditions.
                • Perform emergency procedures as clinically indicated.
                • Stabilize patients requiring admission or transfer to higher levels of care.
                • Collaborate with emergency physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and ancillary personnel to deliver high-quality patient care.
                • Complete accurate and timely medical documentation within the electronic medical record.
                • Maintain compliance with departmental protocols and quality standards. Staffing Model
                • 3-4 Emergency Medicine Physicians per shift
                • 3 Advanced Practice Providers
                • Full emergency department nursing and ancillary support staff
