Job Description:
Are you passionate about helping others and interested in a career in healthcare? We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Allergy Technician to join our growing team. As an Allergy Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients by performing allergy tests, administering treatments, and assisting with patient education.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct allergy skin testing and interpret results under the supervision of an ENT specialist. Prepare and administer allergy immunotherapy (allergy shots) and sublingual immunotherapy. Maintain accurate patient records, documenting test results, treatments, and progress notes. Educate patients on allergy management, treatment plans, and proper use of medications. Assist with patient scheduling, follow-up appointments, and coordination of care. Ensure a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in healthcare is a plus. Previous experience as a medical assistant, technician, or in a related healthcare role preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-focused approach. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems is an advantage. CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire. #IDcentral
