Job Description Help for Partial Job Description. Opens a new window. We are seeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician to join a busy, community-based Emergency Department in Sebring, Florida. This opportunity offers a balanced schedule, strong APP support, and the chance to provide quality emergency care in a welcoming, patient-focused environment.
Assignment Details:
    Facility Type:
    Community Hospital Emergency Department
      Annual Volume:
      Approximately 18,000 visits per year
        ED Size:
        13 beds
          Coverage Model:
          • Single Physician coverage: 7a-7p, 7p-7a
          APP Coverage:
          8 hours during off season; 10 hours during peak season
            Admission Rate:
            ~15%
            • Dedicated Senior ER for geriatric patients
            EMR:
            MEDHOST
              Duration:
              Ongoing locums coverage
              Responsibilities:
              • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with a wide range of emergency medical conditions
              • Provide leadership and supervision for APPs and ED staff during shifts
              • Stabilize critically ill and injured patients, and coordinate admissions or transfers when necessary
              • Collaborate with nursing staff and hospitalists to maintain efficient patient flow and ensure high-quality care
              • Accurately document all patient encounters using the
              MEDHOST EMR
              system
