Radiology Department Director Blue Ridge Medica Center is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. Our medical professionals are committed to making a difference in the lives of our patients. We are currently seeking an Imaging Director for an immediate full-time position.

Duties:

Department manager is responsible for:

• overseeing the daily operations of the radiology department and related imaging services of the hospital and any affiliated services. This includes managing staff, coordinates schedules and liaise with other departments to facilitate smooth patient care. establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, administration, and employees throughout the hospital.
• ensuring compliance with regulations and optimizing workflow efficiency.
• handle equipment maintenance, recommends changes and improvements relating to purchase of capital equipment and supplies. Additionally, the manager will work in conjunction with the CFO in preparing, justifying, and maintaining the radiology department budget.
• implementing policies and procedures and staying current with advancements in radiological technology and safety protocols.
• oversees and is actively involved in all aspects of the facility's Mammography Program. These aspects include, but are not limited to, all accreditation processes and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) inspections.
• oversees and is actively involved in all aspects of Imaging accreditation programs.
• have knowledge of standards of accrediting bodies (TJC, ACR, ARRT) as well as state and federal regulations concerning Radiology.
• Reviews The Charge Description Master for all imaging areas and makes appropriate recommendations for changes regarding CPT codes and billable amounts.

Experience:

• 5 years exp in hospital setting as ARRT with direct patient contact in Diagnostic Radiology, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Cardiac or General Ultrasound, Computerized Tomography, Special Procedures or MRI. Must be certified in at least two (2) of the disciplines.
• 3 years exp in clinical management or supervisory role.

Requirements:

• Minimum of an Associate's degree as a Registered Radiology Technologist. Bachelor's degree in a health services field preferred.
