Description This is a contract, on-site position offering an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality cardiovascular care in a collaborative and patient-focused clinical environment. As a Locum Cardiology Physician, you will deliver comprehensive cardiac evaluations, diagnostic services, and treatment plans for a diverse patient population. Working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals within the Medical Practice industry, you will play a vital role in improving patient outcomes, managing chronic cardiac conditions, and supporting the practice's commitment to clinical excellence. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive cardiac evaluations, consultations, and follow-up care for patients Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests including EKGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests Diagnose and manage a wide range of cardiovascular conditions and chronic cardiac diseases Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient history and clinical findings Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and allied health professionals to coordinate patient care Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed medical records in compliance with regulatory standards Educate patients and families on cardiac health, prevention, and lifestyle modifications Participate in clinical rounds, case reviews, and multidisciplinary team meetings Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, and infection control protocols Stay current with the latest advancements in cardiovascular medicine and best practices Support the practice in meeting patient volume and quality-of-care objectives Requirements MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) degree from an accredited institution Associate-level experience in Cardiology or a related clinical setting Valid medical license to practice in the state of Fayetteville or eligibility to obtain one Board certification or board eligibility in Cardiology Strong clinical diagnostic and decision-making skills Proficiency in interpreting cardiac diagnostic tests and imaging Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Willingness to work on-site in a contract-based capacity Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred Prior locum or contract-based clinical experience is a nice-to-have

Weekday beeper call coverage, 5p-7a

Cases Per Shift:

2-4 Impella experience required

EMR:

Epic Must be board-certified ACLS, BLS, and DEA required Paid travel & expenses
