Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)REPORTS TO
APP Physician LiaisonDEFINITION OF POSITION
We are looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to diagnose and treat acute and chronic GI health conditions, as well as promote good health practices. You will see patients in both clinics and the inpatient care setting. Duties include conducting physical examinations, initiating work up and treatment, interpreting lab tests, and overseeing patients' plan of care. You will be both a health practitioner and an educator, supporting disease prevention practices and helping people lead healthy lives. Experience in one of the following subspecialties preferred: acute care, cardiology, family health, women's health or urgent care, preference for experience in gastroenterology. As a nurse practitioner or physician assistant, you will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, a team spirit, positive attitude, and strong work ethic is required. Patience, critical thinking, and good communication are a must. Responsibilities Examine patients and their medical records Diagnostic testing and interpretation (blood testing, imaging, advanced imaging, etc.) Diagnose health conditions and illnesses Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases Prescribe medications Maintain accurate records and schedules Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics, and prevention Oversee patients' overall health Promote good health practices Advance professional knowledge and conduct research Skills Proven experience as a NP or PA in a clinic, hospital, ER or other setting Expertise in primary care, acute care, and chronic care practices Knowledge of health and patient care regulations Excellent communication skills Strong ethics Team spirit with a positive attitude Critical Thinking Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience Valid, unencumbered licensure in the state of Idaho Master's degree, PhD is a plus Experience in EPIC eMR a plusSalary:
