GU Pathologist The Opportunity:
Required Qualifications:
M.D. or equivalent. Illinois State medical license (or eligibility). American Board of Pathology (ABP) Certification in Anatomic Pathology. GU Pathologist fellowship required. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience as an attending physician in commercial laboratory or related area. Fellows are encouraged to apply.
Work Schedule and Environment:
- Typical hours: 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional extension to 6 PM.
- No grossing responsibilities; all handled by pathology assistants.
- New 25,000sf laboratory
- Extensive support staff
Candidate Qualifications:
- Graduate of an ACGME-accredited Pathology residency training program
- BC/BE in Anatomic Pathology by The American Board of Pathology
- GU Pathology Fellowship training
- Licensed or ability to obtain Illinois Board of Medical Practice Licensure
