As a Locum Medical Doctor in Pathology, you will be responsible for examining tissue specimens, interpreting laboratory results, and providing accurate, timely diagnoses that directly influence patient treatment decisions. Responsibilities Perform macroscopic and microscopic examination of surgical and biopsy tissue specimens Interpret laboratory results and generate accurate, detailed pathology reports Consult with clinicians to determine appropriate diagnostic tests and pathological findings Ensure compliance with medical, safety, and quality assurance standards Manage and prioritize case workload efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting Participate in quality control and quality improvement initiatives Utilize laboratory information systems for accurate documentation and reporting Provide professional guidance to laboratory staff and support multidisciplinary case discussions Stay current with advances in pathology and diagnostic techniques Uphold patient confidentiality and ethical standards in all aspects of practice Requirements Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited institution Associate-level experience in pathology or a related clinical field Completed residency training in Pathology Board certification or eligibility in Pathology Valid, unrestricted medical license to practice Strong diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities High attention to detail and accuracy in reporting Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Proficiency with laboratory information systems and electronic medical records Effective time management and ability to handle a high-volume workload Previous locum tenens experience is preferred but not required
