Job Details Psychiatrist - Addiction Medicine / Psychiatry St. Charles, IL Position Overview We are seeking a Psychiatrist with experience and comfort treating patients with substance use disorders to join a behavioral health program in St. Charles, Illinois . This is a 30-hour-per-week opportunity within a 100-bed behavioral health facility providing detoxification and residential treatment . The psychiatrist will provide clinical psychiatric care while working alongside nurse practitioners who will provide coverage for the remaining clinical needs. The facility currently operates at a census of approximately 80 patients , with approximately 20% of patients at the detox level of care . Responsibilities Provide psychiatric evaluation and ongoing care for patients in detoxification and residential treatment. Assess and manage patients with substance use and co-occurring psychiatric conditions. Provide medication management and psychiatric treatment. Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans. Collaborate with nurse practitioners and the broader clinical team. Support continuity of care across detoxification and residential levels of treatment. Maintain appropriate clinical documentation and support quality patient care. Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry. Experience treating patients with addiction and substance use disorders . Comfortable providing psychiatric care in a detox and residential treatment setting. Strong clinical judgment and ability to work collaboratively with nurse practitioners and other members of the treatment team.
