Schaumburg, IL Pay Range:

$300,000 - $380,000 annually Our laboratory located in Schaumburg, IL (a suburb of Chicago) is looking to add a Cytopathologist to their team of 8+ Pathologists. We are seeking a candidate that is AP/CP board certified with significant experience in Cytopathology. We are an industry leader and in this role, you will join a great team of professionals with an outstanding support staff.

Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostic interpretation of biopsy and/or cytology material Diagnosis to include gross and microscopic evaluation, dictation, and electronic release of reviewed cases Participate as an active medical member of the department with substantial diagnostic case responsibilities Participate in client visits, peer consults, and continuing education Interact with ordering physicians who request to speak with a pathologist Provide expertise and help to technologists and technicians to resolve problems Participate in departmental professional Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities, e. g. Pathologist Competency Assessment Program Medical directorship opportunities are available

Qualifications:

Must be US board certified in AP/CP Must have completed a cytopathology fellowship, or have significant cytopathology experience Strong customer focus and understanding of laboratory operations Ability to communicate with high level decision makers in the organization Schaumburg, IL offers a great blend of suburban feel and city convenience.
