As a Locum Physician in Radiology, you will play a critical role in providing diagnostic imaging services that are vital for breast health management. You will work with a collaborative team of medical professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and compassionate care while contributing to ongoing projects aimed at improving our diagnostic capabilities and patient outcomes. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic breast imaging procedures, including mammography and ultrasound. Interpret imaging results and provide detailed reports to referring physicians. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and monitor individualized patient care plans. Participate in clinical meetings and case discussions to enhance patient care standards. Stay updated on advancements in breast imaging technology and techniques. Ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff as necessary. Engage in patient education to promote awareness and management of breast health. Requirements Medical degree with a valid state license to practice medicine. Board certification in Radiology with a specialization in Breast Imaging preferred. Experience in performing and interpreting breast imaging procedures. Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Commitment to professional development and continuing education in radiology. Our client in Indiana is seeking to determine the cost for a radiologist who meets the licensure requirements outlined by the FDA Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA). The position can accommodate either teleradiology, requiring the radiologist to have their own equipment, or on-site services, with both options being feasible. The anticipated shift is from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with no weekend coverage required. The coverage needed will be for several days each month.
