Lebanon, IN Witham Health Services is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN physician to join our established Obstetrics and Gynecology team as an OB Laborist. This is an opportunity to provide dedicated inpatient obstetric coverage in a collaborative community hospital while working alongside experienced OB/GYN physicians, advanced practice providers, and a supportive nursing team. This position is designed for physicians interested in a flexible schedule with a combination of 12 hour and 24 hour shifts. The laborist will provide nocturnal and weekend inpatient obstetric coverage while partnering with physicians who practice in a traditional model that includes both ambulatory and inpatient responsibilities. About the Position Full Time nocturnal OB Laborist position Flexible combination of 12 hour and 24 hour shifts Required to work one weekend per month, consisting of a 24 hour Saturday shift and a 24 hour Sunday shift Inpatient obstetric care and labor management only Work alongside OB/GYN physicians who practice in a traditional model with both ambulatory and inpatient responsibilities Provide coverage for patients presenting in labor and those requiring inpatient obstetric evaluation and management Manage labor and delivery patients throughout the shift Perform deliveries and respond to urgent obstetric needs Evaluate and manage obstetric triage patients Collaborate closely with nursing, anesthesia, and the broader medical staff Opportunity to practice in a supportive community hospital environment with a collegial OB/GYN team Practice Highlights Established Obstetrics and Gynecology program Approximately 300 deliveries annually Dedicated Labor and Delivery unit Collaborative relationship between laborist and traditional OB/GYN physicians Strong nursing support throughout Labor and Delivery Community hospital environment with a close knit medical staff
