Job Description

Overview Responsible for scheduling invasive Cardiology/Radiology cases, registration of outpatients in preparation for procedures within the department, and communication of cases scheduled within the two campuses. Responsibilities

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(

•Essential Functions) Contacts patients to reconfirm scheduled appointments, special instructions, as well as, post procedure telephone calls. Facilitates and confirms coordination of all scheduled cases with the appropriate ancillary area. Facilitates communication of all services by answering telephones promptly; relays schedule updates, and changes to appropriate individuals. Maintains awareness of physician privileges and confirms physician privileges for procedure before scheduling case. Registration of outpatients for invasive Cardiology/Radiology services. Scheduling of invasive Cardiology/Radiology cases through multiple physician offices. Qualifications

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

(Minimum Requirements)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Excellent verbal communications and customer relations skills. Aptitude for minute detail. Typing skill at a minimum of 70 wpm and significant computer skills.

EDUCATION

High School Diploma/GED Equivalent Required 2 years scheduling and/or registration related experience preferred. 2 Scheduling and/or Registration Related Preferred
