We are seeking a Full-Time licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our established Rheumatology care center in Merrillville, IN, known as "Downtown Northwest Indiana" just south of Gary and embraces a large number of restaurants, banks, malls, and businesses typical of American suburbia in the late 20th century. Our care center has 1 Physician, 1 Nurse Practitioner, 3 exam rooms, a state-of-the-art Infusion Suite with 5 chairs, labs, orthotics, joint injections, and a dedicated staff. We specialize in treating general Rheumatology, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Gout, Osteoporosis, Lupus, Sjogren's Syndrome, Vasculitis, and more. Responsibilities:

Examine patients and their medical records Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.) Diagnose and Propose treatments for autoimmune and arthritic diseases Prescribe medications and IV Infusion Treatments Maintain accurate records and schedules Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications Educate patients and their family members on diseases and treatment plans Oversee patients' overall health and promote good health practices Advance professional knowledge and conduct research Other duties as assigned by collaborating physician Skills New grads and experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Rheumatology, Orthopedics, Orthopedic Surgery, Nephrology, Internal Medicine are welcome to apply

Bilingual:

Fluent in Spanish and English a plus Knowledge of health and patient care regulations Excellent and timely communication skills - verbal, and written Strong ethics, integrity, and reliable Team player with a positive attitude, patience and optimism Exhibits curiosity and a willingness to learn Valid Indiana Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant & DEA license
