We're looking for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Medical Oncologist to join a collaborative team in Richmond, Indiana, for a locum tenens assignment. You'll work a consistent, weekday-focused schedule while helping provide high-quality outpatient cancer care across multiple locations, so willingness to travel is required.

Schedule and Setting Days:

Tuesday-Friday (Mondays off) Clinic hours: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM with a 1-hour unpaid lunch Practice setting: Outpatient oncology clinic with shared call coverage Call responsibilities Night call on select weekdays and weekend call on a rotating schedule (exact schedule to be determined) Serve as both primary and backup physician for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) while on call Clinical duties Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies Provide follow-up care and ongoing disease management Review laboratory, pathology, and imaging results and adjust care plans accordingly Collaborate closely with APPs, infusion staff, nurses, pharmacists, and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive care Support APPs clinically during assigned call coverage Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology Active Indiana medical license or eligibility via the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) Current BLS required; ACLS required if requesting conscious sedation privileges Current DEA registration if applicable If you're comfortable with a predictable weekday clinic schedule, shared call duties, and traveling between sites to support a team-oriented oncology practice, this opportunity offers meaningful patient care in a supportive environment.
