Job Description

Hillsboro Community Hospital is looking for a Diagnostic Imaging/Radiology Manager to join our team. We are a 15-bed critical access hospital located in Marion County, close to Marion Reservoir Lake and on the edge of the scenic Flint Hills. Hillsboro is less than an hour's drive from Wichita to the South, Salina to the North, Hutchinson to the West, and Emporia to the East. We pride ourselves on providing top quality medical care for Hillsboro and all of Marion County. Our services include an emergency department, full-service laboratory, inpatient care, physical therapy, radiology, surgery, swing bed, specialty clinics, and a family practice clinic. We are seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Manager who would like to work in a more relaxed environment. This person will direct and coordinate the activities of the radiology department. Schedule can be flexible with 8 or 10 hour shifts Monday - Friday plus rotating on call weekends and evenings
Radiology Manager Duties:
Assigning, scheduling, and reviewing the work of medical imaging and related staff to maintain patient flow, achieve production goals, and conform to established protocols and procedures Oversees staff in operation of imaging equipment such as x-ray machines, sonography equipment, CT (computerized tomography); evaluates accuracy and quality of images, and provides technical assistance Manages employees assigned to Ultrasound, X-Ray, and CAT scan Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of 3-4 employees Evaluates new medical imaging equipment and recommends purchase of capital equipment Prepares and administers budget for imaging services Works side by side with department staff and assist patients to and from exam room explaining what is going to happen and answer any questions Help patients be comfortable and ensure proper protection is in place Review physician orders to ensure complete exam information, preparation requirements, and coding compliancy needs are met Consult with Radiologist when necessary Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Radiology Manager Requirements:
Associate degree (A.A.S.) or equivalent from JRCERT approved college or technical program; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred AART Certified required Current licensing by the State of Kansas Prior experience supervising others preferred BLS required at time of hire
