Job Description

General Surgery Opportunity in Louisville, KY You'll step into an established general surgery practice with immediate need and room to build your case mix. This is a General Surgery position with a balanced clinic/OR model and strong operational support. Practice Overview You'll join an established group currently consisting of 8 physicians in the clinic, with a mentorship pathway available for early-career surgeons Practice includes bread-and-butter general surgery, colorectal cases, and minimally invasive surgery with 4 da Vinci robotic systems; select physicians participate in tumor boards Support includes 3 APPs (adding 2 more), shared MAs, 5 clinic schedulers, and dedicated surgical first assists matched to your preference cards Call includes general call in 1-week blocks (about 1:8) Schedule 4.5-day work week in a 40-hour FTE structure, including a dedicated half-day of admin time Typical structure: ~2 clinic days (full or half days) with remaining time dedicated to OR block time Clinic volume ranges from 20+ patients per day depending on your volume, scheduling, and APP support Integrated
EPIC EMR
(Gold Star 9) across hospital/clinic sites, with ambient AI documentation (DAX) Compensation & Benefits Base salary starting at $375,000 with a 10% quality bonus (2-year income guarantee); productivity/RVU model in place Sign-on/commencement bonus up to $35,000 (includes $10,000 relocation); up to $200,000 total flexible recruiting incentives (commencement bonus, loan repayment, stipends, relocation) Comprehensive malpractice coverage including full tail; retirement package, PTO, and dedicated CME allowance provided Student loan repayment available with professional debt advising; PSLF-eligible employer; monthly residency/fellowship stipend up to $3,000/month for up to 24 months Candidate Requirements MD/DO required Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery Open to all experience levels; fellows considered (2026 and 2027 graduates) The ability to do scopes.
