Job Description

. This on-site, contract position offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated physician to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services while enjoying the flexibility of locum tenens work. As a valued member of our radiology team, you will play a critical role in supporting patient care across our practice. In this role, you will interpret a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and fluoroscopy procedures, ensuring accurate and timely results for referring physicians. You will collaborate closely with our clinical staff to deliver exceptional patient outcomes and maintain the highest standards of radiological practice. This contract position is ideal for an Associate-level physician seeking professional growth and clinical variety within a supportive medical practice environment. Responsibilities Interpret and report on diagnostic imaging studies, including X-rays, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy Provide accurate and timely preliminary and final reports for referring physicians Consult with clinicians regarding imaging findings and appropriate follow-up recommendations Perform and supervise image-guided procedures as required Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and radiation protection standards Maintain thorough and accurate patient documentation and records Collaborate with radiologic technologists and support staff to optimize imaging workflows Participate in quality assurance and peer review activities Stay current with advancements in radiology and imaging technology Adhere to all regulatory, ethical, and professional standards of medical practice Requirements Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Kentucky or ability to obtain licensure Board certification or board eligibility in Radiology Completed an ACGME-accredited residency program in Diagnostic Radiology Experience interpreting a broad range of imaging modalities Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care delivery Current BLS and/or ACLS certification preferred

Call Requirement:
Weeknight and 24-hour weekend call

20 patients
