Per Day Alexandria, Louisiana Position Details Pay:
$1,400
•1,600 per day Full-time contract 7:30am-4:30pm
•5 days per week. Applicants must reside within 100 miles of Alexandria, Louisiana Must reliably commute to the assigned clinic five days per week In-person position Approximately 3-6 Veteran examinations per day A personal office or clinic space is not required No call responsibilities Evaluation-only position No treatment, prescribing, or ongoing patient management Overview We are seeking a Louisiana-licensed Psychiatrist to perform structured Traumatic Brain Injury disability examinations for Veterans. This position offers a predictable five-day schedule and focused evaluation work without treatment, prescribing, follow-up care, or ongoing patient management. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive TBI disability examinations Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric symptoms associated with traumatic brain injury Review medical and behavioral-health records Document complete and objective clinical findings Complete standardized disability questionnaires and electronic reports Meet established documentation and quality deadlines Provide respectful and compassionate service to Veteran patients Perform evaluations without establishing an ongoing provider-patient relationship Minimum Qualifications MD or DO degree Active, unrestricted Louisiana medical license in good standing Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry Appropriate training or experience evaluating traumatic brain injuries Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills Availability to work onsite five days per week Residence within 100 miles of Alexandria Preferred Qualifications Previous disability-examination experience Experience assessing the cognitive and behavioral effects of TBI Experience with independent medical evaluations Familiarity with standardized disability questionnaires Why Consider This Opportunity?
