Job Description

Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Physician Rural Health Clinic | Coushatta, Louisiana Position Overview Willis Knighton Health is seeking a qualified Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Physician (Med-Peds) to provide comprehensive primary care services to patients across the lifespan, from infants and children to adults and geriatric populations at a Rural Health Clinic located in Coushatta, Louisiana. The physician will diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, provide preventive care, coordinate specialty referrals, and promote high-quality patient outcomes in a rural healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outpatient primary care services to pediatric and adult patients.
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Perform routine physical examinations and preventive health screenings.
  • Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans.
  • Coordinate patient care with specialists and ancillary healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation within the electronic medical record.
  • Educate patients and families regarding disease prevention, treatment options, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Qualifications Position requires Medical Degree, its equivalent, or its foreign equivalent. Applicant must have completed an Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Combined Residency Program and must be eligible to obtain a Louisiana medical license.
