Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician to join our vibrant healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide immediate, high-quality care to patients experiencing acute medical conditions in a fast-paced emergency setting. Your expertise will ensure swift assessments, accurate diagnoses, and effective treatment plans, all while maintaining a compassionate and energetic approach. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in patients' lives by delivering care with professionalism, enthusiasm, and precision. Responsibilities Perform rapid patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews, to determine urgency and appropriate interventions. Manage acute medical emergencies utilizing advanced airway management techniques and critical care procedures. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently. Interpret diagnostic imaging such as CT scans and utilize laboratory results to inform clinical decisions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including radiology, cardiology, neurology, and other specialties to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Conduct procedures including suturing, wound care, lumbar punctures (spinal taps), and basic life support (BLS) as needed. Provide patient education on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care to ensure optimal recovery outcomes. Requirements Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice medicine in the relevant jurisdiction. Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine or related specialty. Proven experience in emergency room settings or Level I/II trauma centers with exposure to trauma medicine and acute care protocols. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic or equivalent electronic health records platforms. Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Ability to perform airway management, intubation, and advanced life support procedures confidently. Excellent patient service skills with a focus on compassionate communication in high-pressure situations. Familiarity with hospital protocols including HIPAA compliance, discharge planning, CPT coding, and infection control standards. Additional experience in areas such as pediatric emergency medicine, neurocritical care, toxicology, or trauma medicine is highly desirable.
