In PersonJob OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician to join the healthcare team at one of our valued clients in Cut Off, Louisiana. In this role, you will provide timely, high-quality care to patients presenting with acute medical conditions in a fast-paced emergency department.

The ideal physician will bring strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain composed and compassionate while managing a wide range of emergent and critical conditions.

ResponsibilitiesPerform rapid patient assessments, including vital signs, medical histories, and physical examinations.

Diagnose and manage acute and life-threatening medical conditions.

Perform critical care procedures, including airway management and intubation.

Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for accurate and efficient documentation.

Review and interpret laboratory results and diagnostic imaging.

Collaborate with specialists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Perform procedures such as suturing, wound care, and lumbar punctures.

Stabilize and treat trauma and critically ill patients.

Provide patients and families with treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up recommendations.

Maintain compliance with HIPAA, infection control, patient safety, and clinical standards.

RequirementsMD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

Active and unrestricted medical license in Louisiana.

Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine or a related specialty.

Previous emergency department, trauma center, or acute-care experience.

Strong knowledge of emergency medicine, trauma management, and critical care.

Competency in airway management, intubation, and advanced life-support procedures.

Experience with EHR/EMR systems.

Excellent communication and patient-care skills.

Ability to make sound clinical decisions in high-pressure situations.
