Hospitalist | 14 Shifts Per Month | Lafayette, Louisiana Join an expanding OB Hospitalist team in Lafayette, Louisiana, offering a true inpatient-only laborist model with predictable shift scheduling, strong specialty support, and consistent delivery volume. This opportunity provides dedicated time away from the hospital while allowing you to focus on high-quality obstetric care. Position Highlights 100% inpatient OB Hospitalist role with no clinic responsibilities or home call Expanding team moving toward a dedicated 24/7 model with two physicians on-site per 12-hour shift Manage L&D care, emergent and scheduled C-sections, operative deliveries, ED GYN consultations, and inpatient rounding Support from CNMs, L&D RNs, lactation specialists, pregnancy navigators, and daytime APP coverage In-house anesthesia, on-site neonatology, and employed MFM support for complex cases Approximately 2,500 annual deliveries across the service Typical volume of 2-4 deliveries per shift Schedule Full-time schedule of approximately 14 twelve-hour shifts per month Rotating day and night shifts, including required weekends Fully shift-based model with no call-backs or remote responsibilities after shifts Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation package Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance Quality bonus opportunities Eligible employer for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Paid malpractice coverage Full benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement matching Candidate Requirements MD/DO with board certification or board eligibility in Obstetrics & Gynecology Comfortable managing L&D, operative deliveries, and C-sections in a high-acuity environment Open to new graduates and experienced physicians Visa sponsorship considered Live & Work in Lafayette, Louisiana Lafayette offers a strong sense of community with a rich food, music, and festival culture.
