Outpatient Psychiatrist, Community Health (FQHC), Mon - Fri Schedule

(Physician/MD qualifications required) Psychiatry (General) - A nonprofit network of more than 15 clinical sites in southern Louisiana and providing comprehensive medical, behavioral and dental health care to individuals and families in Greater New Orleans is seeking an outpatient psychiatrist. The psychiatrist provides patient care services by assessing and treating mental illnesses through a combination of psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, hospitalization, and medication. Independently participate in the delivery of direct client care within the scope of authority granted by the Louisiana State Board of Medicine and following Access Health Louisiana's protocols and standards. You will be joining a highly qualified team of Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Nurses and LCSWs. The Behavioral Health staff helps patients experiencing a variety of health issues including PTSD, Anxiety and Depression, Bipolar Disorder, ADHD, Obesity, Marital Distress, Chronic Tension, Panic Attacks, as well as Phobias. Our physicians, nurses and LCSWs work as a team with the family to develop customized treatment plans to help improve the patients' overall health and well-being.
