Competitive pay packages Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with state and federal laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements What You'll Do Provide 24-hour call coverage, including patient contact during shifts Manage ICU patients in an open ICU model with high acuity cases Collaborate with hospitalists, specialists, and surgical teams for complex cases Perform line placements, intubations, and critical procedures as first call Consult on pulmonary and critical care cases, approximately 18 per day Support hospital staff in managing high patient volume and capacity Maintain compliance with hospital policies and credentialing requirements What You Need Valid medical license in Louisiana with clear background and current privileges Board-certified in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine Minimum of 2 years ICU and critical care experience Strong diagnostic and procedural skills Ability to work independently within a high-pressure environment About the Assignment This assignment is at a full-service hospital with 162 beds, including a 30-bed ICU and 24 step-down beds. The hospital operates at capacity with an average daily census of approximately 170 ED visits. Providers will work in a collaborative, high-acuity setting with in-house hospitalists, specialty backup, and 24/7 surgical coverage. The focus is on acute pulmonary and critical care, with opportunities for procedural intervention, including line placement and intubation.
